Sometimes money is over emphasized. Sometimes money is under emphasized.

Money is A Tool

Money is a tool. Some people need to read that as money is "just" a tool. It is just money. It doesn't determine your self worth. It doesn't determine your ultimate security.

Others need to read that as money is a "valuable" tool. Money can be used to help others, to bring a smile, to bring a sigh of relief, to pursue a dream.

Sometimes due to past experiences, people approach money as an evil thing that should be avoided at all costs. While obsessing about it and treating it as more than a tool can bring pain. Also, avoiding thinking about money and treating it as if it doesn't matter can also bring pain.

Money is a tool. It should be stewarded well to the best of our ability whether we are going to the grocery store, giving, or going on vacation.

While money is just a tool, it can be helpful tool. My encouragement is to not obsess about it but also don't avoid it. Steward it well to the best of your ability.
