I had a former pastor write in a Bible that he gave to me that the Bible "... contains all truth necessary for happiness in this life and the next." Some may be surprised to realize that extends to personal finances as well.

BUDGETING TIPS

Nobody does a better job of communicating and making famous the truths of finances found in the Bible than FaithFi. Below are some of my favorite articles they have posted recently:

  1. Timeshare Tribulation by Jim Henry - "Those are the options for trying to get rid of a timeshare, but the easiest way is to not buy one in the first place. You’ve heard the saying, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” It couldn’t be more true than with a timeshare."

  2. Putting Your Principles Where Your Money is by Jim Henry - "Understanding and believing in biblical truth is essential. The first principle you need to grasp is that God owns everything. Psalm 24:1 says, “The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains, the world, and those who live in it.” When you fully embrace that principle, everything else can fall into place."

  3. 9 Ideas To Reduce the Temptation to "Buy Now" by Art Rainer - "By implementing these strategies, you can take control of your spending habits, reduce financial stress, and become a better steward of God’s resources."

  4. 5 Reasons Not to Overlook Teaching Children About Generosity at Church by Art Rainer - "Children can understand the biblical principles of money and generosity. Lord willing, they can be another child who, as an adult, points back to this moment as the start of their generosity story. Don’t overlook the children. Teach them what God says about this important topic."

In addition to articles, they have podcasts and a whole community focused on stewarding well what God has entrusted to us. Consider turning to the Bible to form your personal financial principles.
